About Me:
I grew up in Western New York, just a bit North of Niagara Falls. My husband, David, and I moved to Colorado in 2006 to pursue our graduate work at CU Boulder. We welcomed our first child, Calvin, into our family in May of 2020. In our spare time we love to cook, hike, travel, play music, garden, and play with our little fellow.
What I love about Early Childhood Education:
"Young children are naturally curious about everything. The wonder that they possess for life is contagious and inspiring. There is nothing more wonderful than seeing a child understand something or accomplish something for the first time. While I love teaching children new things, what I love the most about working with children is learning the lessons that they have to teach me."

In my free time, I like to practice yoga, skiing, hiking, going to concerts, making crafts and jewelry, and spending quality time with my friends and family. I am also working as a behavior therapist for children with autism. I feel so lucky to be a part of such a wonderful teaching team and community here at OBP!
What I love about Early Childhood Education:
From birth to age five, a child's brain develops more rapidly than at any other time in life. It is incredibly exciting for me to witness and help facilitate this growth. I'm continuously fascinated and inspired by children’s authenticity, curiosity, compassion and creativity. I love being able to foster these qualities in young children while supporting their learning and development.

About Me:
I was born and raised in Lake Forest, IL. I came to Boulder in 2019 to study at the University of Colorado Boulder. I graduated in May 2023 with a degree in Elementary Education. In my spare time, I hike with my dog, Maya, go to CorePower yoga and spend as much time outdoors as possible. I am very motivated to further my education with kids, as I am currently working towards my Master's in Education with an endorsement in Special Education.
What I love about Early Childhood Education:
Working with children has always been a part of my life. When I told my parents I no longer wanted to play a sport in high school, they told me to get a job instead. The first job I had was working with a family who had a 5-month-old and a 4-year-old, and I ended up staying with them for three years before I left for CO. I built a strong relationship with those two kiddos, which made me realize that I love watching kids experience the world and watch them understand the world around them. I resist saying that teachers are supposed to fill students with new information because not everything can be learned by a teacher. Rather, the interactions they make with others and the discoveries that come out of curiosity are so exciting to witness. Working with kids allowed me to realize that it is okay to slow down and look at life through a fresh pair of eyes.
