What I love about Early Childhood Education:
From birth to age five, a child's brain develops more rapidly than at any other time in life. It is incredibly exciting for me to witness and help facilitate this growth. I'm continuously fascinated and inspired by children’s authenticity, curiosity, compassion and creativity. I first joined the school choir when I was 10 years old and I had my first piano lesson at age 12 and I instantly fell in love! I continued my love of music throughout Elementary School (School Choir & Victorian State Children’s Choir), High School (Musicals - Sweeney Todd, A Chorus Line, School Choir) and University. In 2002 I had the privilege to travel to Europe and perform in several countries, the highlight was performing in the International Music Festival in Vienna, Austria. I have worked with some very talented musicians and producers over the years of writing and performing my own music. I have plenty of experience performing at weddings, funerals, restaurants and festivals. I live in Boulder with my husband and our five children. My husband is a Boulder native, and we have lived here as a family for 11 years now. I adore being a mother! My children are definitely my biggest achievement, and they fill my life with so much joy and purpose. In my spare time, I love to ride my horse, Roo, and I am currently on the search for horse number two to compete with in dressage.

What I love most about early childhood music teaching is the joy of watching young children discover the world through music. Every song, rhythm, and movement activity becomes an opportunity for them to build confidence, express themselves, and connect with others. There’s something truly special about seeing a child's face light up when they master a new song, keep a steady beat, or simply laugh and dance with their friends. Music creates a space where every child can participate, explore, and feel successful, regardless of their abilities or experience also love that music nurtures so many areas of development at once—from language and social skills to creativity, coordination, and emotional expression. It's a privilege to help lay a foundation for a lifelong love of music while creating meaningful moments of connection, curiosity, and joy. I look forward to being a part of your child’s music education this school year!
