***This is a part-time position- 10-20 hrs/week with opportunities for subbing
The Aide will assist the Lead Teacher in general classroom management, supervision and maintaining high quality early care and education. The Aide reports to the Center Director, Assistant Director, and Lead Teacher.
Qualifications: Must be at least 18 years of age and have a high school diploma. Experience in early childhood education and arts/music/yoga education is a plus! Must be able to lift 30 pounds and be able to see, hear and respond to children’s needs, including being able to stand for long periods of time.
-To adhere to all policies and procedures as outlined by Off Broadway Preschool of Fine Arts.
-To maintain all of the State of Colorado’s Licensing Rules and Regulations for child care centers.
-To assist with planning and implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum in alignment with Off Broadway Preschool’s mission and philosophy.
-Treat all children with respect and meet the individual needs of each child in the class.
-Assist with the physical arrangement, cleanliness and appearance of the classroom environment, keeping in mind the interests of the children.
-Communicate effectively with parents through ongoing daily communication with excellent customer service.
-Assist with child portfolios using observation and assessment in order to meet the social, emotional, and developmental needs of the children.
-Assist with preparing for parent teacher conferences twice annually. -Work collaboratively with other staff members as part of a team environment.
-Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and classes as required by Off Broadway Preschool.
-Other duties as assigned to meet the needs of the program.
Compensation: $13-16/hr. Based on education and experience.
